We can work with you to develop and produce custom designs made from brass, bronze, sterling, yellow gold and white gold, up to 2" x 2" x 2". Because we use lost wax cast methods, we can produce designs that are almost impossible by methods like die stamping. The steps are as follows:
| | Starting From "Scratch" |
| | Usually $500 + per-piece costs |
| 1) | Customer provides a concept description, preferably sketches or finished drawings |
| 2) | The drawings are finalized, approved by the customer, then transferred into our computer systems |
| 3) | The computer system mills out a wax master, which is then touched up and finished by hand |
| 4) | An RTV mold is made from the wax master |
| 5) | Wax patterns are produced from the RTV mold, and affixed to a wax tree |
| 6) | The wax tree goes through the investment, burnout and casting process |
| 7) | The metal parts are cut from the tree, trimmed by hand, then polished |
| 8) | After a final inspection, they are forwarded to the customer |
|
| | Starting with a Model |
| | Usually $200 + per-piece costs |
| 1) | From the customer-provided master an RTV mold is made |
| 2) | Wax patterns are produced from the RTV mold, and affixed to a wax tree |
| 3) | The wax tree goes through the investment, burnout and casting process |
| 4) | The metal parts are cut from the tree, trimmed by hand, then polished |
| 5) | After a final inspection, they are forwarded to the customer |

If many parts are to be made, or if you provide a metal master, we will make a production-quality mold from Castaldo rubber instead of RTV. Either produce excellent pieces, but the vulcanized rubber mold lasts longer -- usually hundreds of parts -- before having to make a new mold.
Custom work requires at least half payment in advance, and the balance upon shipment. Custom work costs are not refundable.
